@jam3se my cloud sync is working as well. No issues since march.
My cloudsync has been working well for a while now.
@sKyTe @champs777 strange⦠mine still is stuck after transcoding.
3+ hours and still stuck on āwaiting to uploadā
The only change I have seen in plex that it is reporting 18.4GB used by cloud sync, but there is nothing on the cloud drive, not even the cloud sync dir.
And my test sync is only a few hundred mb.
@ChuckPA care to get back to me about my logs after 6 months of waiting?
I just tried to set this up for the first time last night (linux server), and am stuck waiting to upload. So the bug was partially fixed for some, but others still have no access.
I have the same problem. Please help us.
This has not been fixed. When will this issue be resolved?
Waiting for a resolution on this as well. Using Dropbox, same issue.
@ChuckPa I get the same ā404 requesting XMLā issue, with both Dropbox and Google Drive. Tested this with a fresh install of PMS on two independent servers after relinking of the storage providers.
Can recreate and provide complete logs on request.

Love Plex, but I honestly only pay for Plex Pass for Cloud Sync, and it appears to have not worked for a lot of people for only a year now.
Youāve been very helpful here in the forum. If you have a team lead or manager who can expedite this (if necessary) with the engineering team, or if thereās at least a status update you can provide on the submitted bug, Iām sure a lot of people would appreciate it.
Iām sorry but Iām not the windows guy. I support Linux & NAS (Linux) boxes. @OttoKerner can you help here?
Iāve reproduced the exact same issue in a Fedora 28 instance (4.16.3-301.fc28.x86_64) as well. Same error, same logging.

@ChuckPa, @OttoKerner: Been 2 weeks, any update on this?
As noted above, Iāve reproduced the issue on both a Linux and Windows PMS. Same 404 on the GET from localhost:32400 (assuming thatās a relevant error). Turned off all software firewalls (and SELinux) for both tests. Also confirmed servers are listening on port 32400, with established connections at the time of the 404.
I actually canāt find a āsyncā directory associated with Plex anywhere on either server, which may be symptomatic.
Any insights, updates, or details regarding how the Plex team is addressing this would be most appreciated, as always.
Probably you can guess, but still, same error occurs on Mac OSX also.
Ok, hereās a debug log for Xubuntu 18.04.1, PMS 1.13.6.5339 (same results for non Beta as well). Per the reporting issues support article.
@ChuckPa @OttoKerner so apparently @khoix attempting to be polite isnāt producing any response.
The issue is clearly occurring across Windows, Linux, and Mac (Linux here, have also tried on my Mac). Plex should at this point just deprecate the feature and stop advertising it on your site as a Plex Pass feature because it doesnāt work, youāre providing no support for itā¦I mean, itās acting exactly like a deprecated feature :D.
We cannot speak for engineering.
I personally know weāre ALL busy fixing things right now.
The best I can do is ask you to be patient a bit longer. Weāre busting hump as much as possible.
Iām here in the forums now only because I promised to spend some time away from my engineering duties.
@ChuckPa I understand these things take time. It isnāt a vital feature, albeit one I specifically subscribed to Plex Pass to use. Please let your manager know your presence on the forum presents a great opportunity to engage patrons with some transparency so no one feels their money is poorly investedāa lot of people find and review these threads before deciding to continue on with their subscriptions. Personally, seeing your engagement changed my mind when I was about to unsubscribe and become a detractor for Plex Pass, so thank you.
Is there any public-facing bug tracker where we can submit/check the status on bugs like this?
yep devs are all busy, too busy for a noisy issue which fired almost year ago? what would customer say and think about this āefficient supportā? For this an issue which is bad impacted and easy to re-produce?
First Plex Cloud is scrapped, now Cloud Sync, would you plan to disable this function completely just like what happened with Plex Cloud :)?
Sadly, I have been using plex cloud and have had only minor problems since I started using it when it came out. Cloud Sync on the other hand has had issues on and off for me for a very long time which is why I switched to plex cloud instead. Now plex cloud is dead and Iām stuck with this same exact error again now that Iām trying to switch back to Cloud Sync, the error 404 requesting XML for cloudsync error that everyone here is having issues with. Sadly, it doesnāt even tell you why it had an issue requesting it. Does the file/folder not exist? Does it not have the correct permissions? No clue and I donāt even know where to start looking for it exactly since it seems to change every time I remove a sync job and add it back. Starting to wonder why I even bother and thinking about just getting a VPS like others have done. Would be less headacheā¦
