Collection Count incorrect after merging multiple versions

I’ve been merging some movies where I have multiple resolutions of the same movie (1080p and 4k). However, I’m finding that any automatic collections that Plex has created show the incorrect count on the collections view page.

Drilling into the detailed collections page does show the correct number of movies however.

I did find out I can delete the collection, clear the collection lock from each movie, then refresh the metadata for the movies and Plex will recreate the collection with the correct count, but that’s a lot of work for an easily fixable bug.

Is there any way to fix this? Seems like a fairly straightforward bug.

I’m not clear which app you are using or screen you are referring to.

This appears to be correct for me and shows “3 items/movies” which with is correct for these three movies that have two versions each. It is only meant to show show the number of movies, not the number of versions.

But if you mean somethign else or another app please let me know

Plex

This is in the web app. For example, I have a collection for Despicable Me (currently 4 titles). Before I merged, I had 6 actual video files, 2 of them just being different resolutions. I merged the 2 together but this is what I still see so something isn’t refreshing on a collection during a merge.

Did you create the collection before doing a merge? So create a collection, then add files that are duplicates but not merged. Then, merge the dups and see what you get in the collection count.

ah ok . the collection already existed before you merged? and just refreshing the page did not fix it?
