After the update to the latest public PMS, the collections metadata is behaving strangely.
There is only one poster to pick from and some of them are wrong too, like the Lego movie. In that case a low quality poster is chosen and the local language is ignored.
I cannot reproduce this.
Collections look like they always did. Language is also observed.
Collection posters have, in my experience, always been restricted to just 1 proper collection poster (if collection was actually fetched automatically from TMDB), and a collage made from 4 posters.
Did this appear immediately after updating, or was there a server maintenance inbetweeen?
I’ve checked about 10-15 collections and they all like this. None of the other posters from Cars Collection - Posters — The Movie Database (TMDB) are visible. I refresh metadata weekly so it’s likely it was updated the last time I refreshed the libraries.
I’m running server version 1.43.0.10467 and I only have auto generated collections, no custom collections at all.
EDIT: Adding lego movie collection screenshot as second example:
@d2freak thanks for reporting. I had the same impression/expectations as @OttoKerner. After dropping back to 1.42.2 and I can see many posters for collections. Thanks @dokuro for the examples.
This is weird. I’m getting a lower rated one. See the screenshot. That’s the one I’m getting. And further is that it exists a Swedish language collection poster and it’s not getting picked up either
All other collections seems to be fine, except the problem with the amount of posters.
Looks like the swedish collection poster was only uploaded a few days ago (28th Jan) so it probably just has not made its way to plex yet.
Not sure why its falled back to a low quality english one, maybe that one is coming from their gracenote provider as it falled back from swedish to english as opposed to when its selected as english. This however is complete speculation on my part …
