Collections won't update four panel poster thumbnails or won't display them at all

Server Version#: Synology 1.19.3.2764-ef515a800
Player Version#: Plex Web 4.30.2

Most of my collections display the 4 panel poster tumbnail(s) but now, whenever I change the poster of something, the 4 panel does not reflect the changes, or there is simply no images displayed in the panel at all and it’s just a unsightly grey.

In the James Bond panel, the Casino Royale poster is incorrect and Mission: Impossible is nothing.

It’s a minor cosmetic thing really, but I’d rather fix it if I can.

Thanks!

Yes, they are displaying posters and I’ve encountered that bug before. Refreshing metadata did work on those. On Mission: Impossible however, they were just added.

If I delete the cache, how will it affect my library?

Thanks!

So I’m using Synology for PMS and there isn’t a way for me to get to the cache. Any alternatives?

Sigh. Didn’t work. Blank, grey collection folder still.

No, this is what I am getting. Thank you for your continued help, btw.

Yes, I did it before I tried the recent above attempt(s).

Okay, not 100% sure what you mean by test library but I moved all my 4K movies (including Mission: Impossible) to a new folder and added that folder to my movies on PMS. It reloaded all fresh metadata like it was brand new and… still had a blank collection folder! haha! This is driving me crazy.

And by the way, it seems there are no new collection posters being created. I added a few new films and their auto created collection was blank as well.

Sadly, no.

I did everything, no dice. What kind of settings can I change in my router? I mean, my friends use my Plex account fairly often without trouble. As far as the message goes, where would a message even be?

DSM firewall was already off. Plex already had full control and I enabled the folder, sub-folder etc setting, twice. I gave Plex Read/Write advanced permissions. I deleted the collection, cleaned and optimized, reset Plex, reset the NAS even. Nothing.

I used Firefox. Still doesn’t work.

In a fit of frustrated rage, I added two unrelated movies together into a collection. It worked.

Go to Mission Impossible or Police Story. Nope.

I feel like Plex must not like or can’t get to the posters of these movies, while it seemingly can for movies I have had longer? I don’t know. I’m starting to get really pissed off.

And look at this. A few random movies, only two posters make it to the collection cover.

What happens if you edit the poster on the collection - I have seen something similar. When you edit, for me it then updates but you need to save the change ?

Yes, I did.

Tried that too.

Ah ■■■■. This is so whack. Like, what in the hell could be stopping something so bloody stupid and simple?!?!

Thanks for your dedication dude. I really appreciate you taking the time to try.

I’ll leave this job for another day. I don’t have it in me lol

YEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!

EFF. YEAH. Thank you so, so, so much!!
