Collections in the new “Plex preview” version of mobile app are not in their proper order like they are on every other client. All my collections default by year of release and they show this order on Windows desktop and web client, but on my android mobile client they seem randomly ordered.
Only noticed this issue happening in the new UX android mobile app, not the old one.
Can you share a specific example?
I’ve just scanned my own collections and their orders seem to match between the various apps (incl. the new experience mobile app).
That being said, I’m on version 2025.22.0 on iOS (TestFlight beta). Though release notes don’t mention any collection fixes.
So, it appears inconsistent: if you navigate manually to the collection via Browse, it shows in its proper order.
However, if you do a search for the collection and access it from there - the items don’t appear in any particular order.

I think that was the missing pointer. I can reproduce when opening collections from search results.
Edit: opening a collection from search results also looks different (no title/description, no background art…)
Glad you could reproduce! it looks like the collection order on mobile might be sorting alphabetically, fwiw.
Just checked this today, still an issue. (specifically: searching for a collection yields same behavior eg no title/description, no bg art, not in the collection’s order…)
