So the prime example of my question is Star Wars. I have changed the Sort Titles (Star Wars 01, 02, etc.), and if I show the movies outside of the collection then they sort properly no issues. I prefer my collections to not be show though, and within the Collection the only sorting options are ‘Release Date’ and ‘Alphabetical’ (Alphabetical by Title not by Sort Title). So the list as either Original Trilogy, Prequels, New by release date, or Original, New, Prequel by alphabetical. Anyone have anyway other than changing the actual movie title to sort them properly within the collection?
Currently, those are the only collection level sort options
The sort by title uses the sort title. If it doesn’t, that’s a bug.
Please provide a screenshot and the sort titles you are using.
In collections the only options are alphabetical and by release date. In collections sort title is ignored.
It’s working for me. I changed the sort to alphabetical. Edited the sort title for the movie Cars to “Cars 4” and it moved to the end where I would expect it.
What sort titles are you using?
And here is my Star Wars collection. I’m using the sort tiles of “Star Wars #” where the # is “1, 2, 3, 3.5, 4, 5, 6, 7”. You can see “Rogue One” is in the middle of “Star Wars …” so it is working.
