Another "Collections" problem. Can you force sorting by anything other than date?

I literally and by accident just discovered the new “Collections” feature which in general is awesome. However, a non-awesome “feature” is it seems to sort by release date and disregards the “Sort Title” altogether. A great example of how bad this is; Star Wars. The Collection order of Episodes is: 4,5,6,1,2,3,7 followed by Rogue One. Not very helpful to say the least. Granted, there may not be a lot of other collections where this is an issue (because hey, George Lucas can’t do everything…), but still, I like having control over my display.

Any ideas?

just Edit the collection entry, go to Extended settings and change it from Release Date (default) to Title/Name.
Works like a charm…

To be specific: I edited the Collection, selected “Advanced”, and the only item in there is “Collection Order” with the options “Release Date” or “Alphabetical”

This fixed it for me. Thanks for the tip.

My experience is that it uses the sort title.

Correct, it is the Sort Title if it exists
