First, thanks for adding the new per-collection status editor!
Second, there are a few things I still think this feature is missing. A bulk editor in the Collections view, so we can edit the “Hide status” of multiple collections at once. More importantly, there needs to be some visual indicator in the Collections view of which collections are hidden. I have a number of collections where only one film is in my library so I’ve hidden them, but it’d be nice to use that hidden status to remind me I need to get the rest of the films. And with 300+ collections, it’d be hard in any case to find the one’s I’ve hidden without any visual indicator.
It’d also be nice to have TheMovieDB metadata agent pull down the collection summary, poster, etc.
Thanks again for continuing to improve Collections. I hope we see more improvements in the near future.
Edit: There’s an issue with movies that appear in multiple collections. If a film is in two separate collections one will override the other.
Example…
(A) Mad Max Collection (4 Films + Black & Chrome)
(B) Mad Max: Fury Road Collection (Original + Black & Chrome)
If I set (A) to show all (or default if show all this the default), I then can’t set (B) to hide items in collection.
There shouldn’t be this conflict occurring.
