Collections from TMDB

Hi,
I’m sure that this is a stupid question: I have recently ripped my movie collection and it all seems to work well (I have a small problem with LOTR editions…) but I can’t figure out how to make Plex automatically create collections. I have a checkmark in both the Plex Legacy agent and the TMDB agent which I assume would make Plex use info from TMDB to create the collections but when I select the collections filter I get no content… What could be the issue?

Have you refreshed the metadata for those movies?

Have you tried the Plex Movie scanner and agent?

Edit the library → Advanced

  • Set scanner & agent to Plex Movie
  • Minimum automatic collection size
  • Collections = disabled/hide/show

I found that setting now and it was set to disabled. Changed it to 3 and I’m now rescanning files. That sounds like the issue. Will update you when the scan is done. Thanks!!

That worked :slight_smile:
The only slightly confusing thing is that now I see the collection as the first movie on the poster wall and the other films separately as well. Is it possible to just see the collection and not the individual films?

Just discovered that there is a setting called “Hide items that are part of collection” (or something to that effect). That sounds like what I’m looking for
