Collections setting on PLEX Media Server not respected

When I suddenly got all my libraries stuffed with unwanted “Collections” all over the place - because they where “auto created” by a default setting in a new version - I started out fiddling a very long time to find a way to get rid of these. At 3.500 movies and about 600 auto created collections I realized that the fastest way would be to create new libraries and move all the movies.

However - a lot of my devices uses the current libraries so I decided to make a short cut - “Deactivate Collections” for each library on the Media Server (ReadyNAS now running 1.11.1.4730). But this setting is not respected from several clients (Apple TV 4K and iOS)

So now I am stuck with numerous of totally unwanted collections - a lot of there are now just empty black containers because when the last (usually just one) movies are deleted in that collection then the collection stays.

So PLEX claims that when the Media Server has a setting for a Library that says “Deactivated” - then collections are not shown on any devices using that Media Server - **Not True **- they live - breathe and are just as obnoxious on each and every player around the house.

And PLEX further states that when the last movie containing a specific Collection tag is removed - then the Collection self is removed - **Also Not True **- the Collections seems to live longer than me.

I don’t have that version yet, but a Plex ninja said you could change to collections view, Select All and delete. It deletes all the collection tags but not the files. I of course would try it with one first to see what it does before going nuclear but still.

Thanks
It was the WebApp version - with my local version I did not get the possibility to view the collections
I am not sure how the hosted can be different from the fully updated installed in the Media Server -
but it did the trick - thank you very much
