I’d love to see in a future update for there to be a way to remove your collections from your library view. Collections should be it’s own thing, and scrolling through all of my tagged collections to find individual films is difficult.
what is your library setting set to? There’s a few options there:
- Disabled : Don’t display collections inline at all.
- Hide items which are in collections : If an item belongs to a collection, do not show the item in the main library when browsing. Entries for collections are shown inline.
- Show collections and their items : Entries for collections are shown inline and items belonging to a collection also still appear in the main library when browsing.
with the 3rd option you’ll still see your movies AND collections inline, but that obviously doesn’t fix your issue of not wanting to see collections in your libary.
wow thanks for the response. So i can do that in the desktop app - but when i look at my tv’s version of the app all the collections still show.
I hope that helps with the library setting.
But ultimately, I just don’t want to see the collection on ANY of the apps unless i’m in the collections tab. is that possible?
No you will always see your collections in your library, but with the bottom setting you will still see movies that belong to a collection in your normal library view. I think it’s a good feature request though.

Go with Disabled.
That way no collections will show in your regular library view (across all clients). However you can still filter by collections or switch to the collection view if you want to see them.
If you don’t want anything to do with collections:
- Disable
Automatically load collection info from The Movie Databasein that library’s advanced settings - delete existing collections from the collections view

I do want to use the collections, but when I look at my a-z movies… I don’t want to see all my collections (77th Academy Award Nominee) (Best International Film Winner).
How do I even see my library setting? Is that in the desktop client?
