I’m finally starting to explore the Collections options in Plex. I really like this idea, but I’m finding the auto-creation of them to be all over the place. For example, I have a collection that was auto-generated called “Airplane.” But the poster art is for a 70’s B Movie called The Big Bus.
I don’t own a copy of the movie Airplane anywhere in my library, and even once I removed the films that were linked, this collection remains with zero items in my library.
So how do you remove a collection from Plex if there is nothing in it? I read elsewhere that it supposedly will just not exist if there is nothing in it. Sadly, that’s not what I’m experiencing right now.
Guys… I’m going to try the “delete” thing mentioned above by @tom80H, but this isn’t a media issue, it’s a tagging issue from what I understand. So, it would seem like this is more of a functionality problem. As an end user, I don’t want to allow my shared users to be able to delete media, I prefer to handle it server-side. Also, it leaves me to believe that I might be deleting media instead of just a collection tag. …if this is more than just a tag, as it suggests, then it’s definitely something that should be considered for improvement, in my opinion.

This is fixed in the latest version of Plex Web (version 3.47.1 - this is not yet bundled with the version of Plex Web installed with your server, you need to use https://app.plex.tv/desktop to use it):

This is interesting. What is a “Fixed collection”?
