I do a fair bit of tinkering with library sorting etc. and recently had a thought due to playing around with collections. Not sure if its my OCD but I have had a growing need/want to sort movies not only by their natural collections, but also group them by decade collectively.
Are there any plans currently for, or would it be possible to request the ability to display media by Decade in one of the following ways:
A) Filter Specific Collections that only show in-line when sorting by Year, and otherwise do not interfere with sorting, hide/show settings of regular collections (Sort by Title), but still show up under Collections Tab. These Decade Collections when opened would also display applicable Titled collections for their respective decade
B) A Display option similar to the Category Tab that works similarly and also retains applicable existing Titled Collections for the respective decade.
Collections that span multiple decades would either display across those decades, or show the individual movies based on default minimum collection size settings. This would be a selectable setting for both options.
I am tracking that Plex will display movies by individual decades under the sort options, but this option only shows a small portion of the library.
What i am referring to, is an option to display the entire library by decade without messing with existing show/hide settings from collections that exist from sorting by Title.
