Collections with Movies and TV shows not working right on AppleTV

I have a number of related TV shows and movies and would like to be able to see them all in one spot- so I followed the directions and created identically named collections in my TV Shows and Movies sections and added the content.

On the web interface and other apps- when I open, say, my “Star Trek” collection in TV Shows- I see the TV shows listed as well as all of the movies from the “Star Trek” movies collection. And the reverse is also true- if I am in the Movies section and open the “Star Trek” collection, I will see all the movies as well as the TV shows.

On AppleTV, however, this functionality seems to be broken. Has anyone found a workaround for this, or are there any plans to fix this?

Same thing but I posted it several months ago with no reply. Only happens on Apple TV, works on every other app or os platform except Apple TV.

A LOT of people have AppleTV’s running the Plex app so i would expect more complaints.

Are people just not using collections? Or even aware that you can use collections across movies and TV shows?

I’m really confused here.

Is no one else using combined collections on the AppleTV app or is it just working for other people?
