Color space is not supported error after updating to 1.25.5

Synology 918+, running via Docker, hardware acceleration set up correctly.

Here is a sample file with the color space error.
ffprobe tells me it is a DolbyVision profile 5 file without HDR backward compatibility.

dv_version_major=1
dv_version_minor=0
dv_profile=5
dv_level=3

If I understand correctly, tone mapping DolbyVision is not supported (via transcoding or not).
But even Direct streaming / playing is not working on my Apple TV 4K (gen1), cannot start playing the file since server error Color Space is not supported.

Reverted to 1.25.4 via Docker starts playing the file, but my LG C1 doesnā€™t trigger DV and colors are pink/green as the file is transcoding because ā€œdirect play is not possibleā€.

Do you mean under Settings > Server > Transcode?
Yes it is activated.

On Apple TV, as far as I know, Dolby vision is only supported in an MP4 that can be direct played. (a direct stream or transcode will not work)

That seams odd, cause I do have a lot of mkv files with Dolby Vision profile 8, and Plex is triggering the DV mode of my LG C1.
Only profile 5 fails.

Besides that, I donā€™t find the info on the fact only MP4 files are supported, do you have a link?

I am having this issue with Dolby Vision off, just HDR.

I remuxed a file into MP4, this fixed the playback issue but the tones are wildly off even when direct playing.

Seeing this as well PMS Version 1.26.0.5715. Can get logs or help if needed. I canā€™t play any HDR content.

I am having the same error showing up. I cannot play my HDR movies because of this bug. When can we expect a fix? If HDR DV was working before why would it take so long for a fix? Thanks

I tried downgrading my server version (fur Unraid) and it didnā€™t work. I have to use Infuse app in my AppleTV / iOS devices for my DV videos to work. Without Infuse application I cannot play anything with DV.

I too have this issue with the native plex apps and have gotten around this issue on my Apple TV by using the Infuse app to play my plex content. It connects to my Plex server just fine and plays these files flawlessly that the Plex app wonā€™t play. I actually am liking the Infuse app more and moreā€¦like having the ability to customize subtitle font placement, color, size, and opacity.

Iā€™m having zero issues playing these same files using the Infuse app connecting to my Plex server. My TV and receiver are correctly switching to their respective Dolby Vision modes and playing the content flawlessly.
