Color space is not supported error after updating to 1.25.5

Same here… any news? :frowning: Seems like the last year alot and alot of updates has come to plex, but 4K steaming still is a big problem…

My plex server is basically unusable because everything I was watching was HDR. :frowning: I don’t have time to downgrade PMS. Sad panda. Please let me know if I can help/contribute debug logs for the dev team.

Downgrading from Plex is very easy in most cases. Probably takes less time than writing your post here.

Can anyone recommend the best version to downgrade to? Would it be the latest version of 1.25.4.x? [1.25.4.5487-648a8f9f9]

1.25.4.5468 should work.
I had to re-add DolbyVision files that did not work. After that they worked without any problems.

same issue, fixed on docker by rollback to 1.25.4 , but on nvidia shield it cant be done

That’s not the point. I want plex to acknowledge the bug is getting worked. I think we all want to make sure they have logs, examples, whatever is needed

Can downgrade but I’d rather just get it fixed

No news on if this is being worked on? I’d rather have it fixed than be forced to downgrade.

I just hit this error too. Running PlexMediaServer-1.26.0.5715-8cf78dab3-x86_64_DSM7. It’d be great to know if there is being worked on. I’d prefer not to downgrade.

The last update relating to this was this…

So i read this and thought to myself that i’ll roll back to the older version and see if the problem was there earlier too (this would help me determine if the issue is with my hardware) but it seems that i cannot roll back to an older build on my synology.

Any advice?

Thing is it’s happening to me on the Nvidia shield which does support dolby vision but my TV does not. Does this mean we are ■■■■ out of luck because they are afraid of being sued? I mean I understand why they would be worried just odd that it was functioning fine before.

Check out this thread.

Looks like a fix is on the way.

Unfortunately it did not fix my problem, still getting the error trying to play DV files with tonemapping. Color space not supported.

Latest beta did not fix the problem for me either. I’m still completely unable to play DV files. This is a huge problem.

Same issue as others have reported, running latest beta (which seems to install as 5772-872b93b91) but when looking at the actual running version is displayed as 5772-7000… have tried uninstalling and reinstalling just to confirm

Also tried the aforementioned 1.25.4 which allowed the files to play, but with everything purple so not really a solution

It is literally 2 minutes to uninstall - reinstall different versions, but it’s still either unplayable or unwatchable because of the color problems…

honestly expected a bit better from Plex considering how good they usually are !

Same issue here I’ve updated to Version 1.26.1.5772 still not fixed

happening on my nvidia shield as well, really not trying to do a full rollback of server.

Rolling back to 1.25.4.5468 resolved the Color Space not Supported Error on Apple devices for me.

Now it plays DV content but has messed up colors on Apple devices. Anyone know a fix for that?
