Combining Libraries by type (Movies and TV Shows)

Sorry in advance for my poor English.

I have devided my movies into genres, so I have Animation, Horror, Musicals, Documentaries ect. and also a Library dedicated to Danish movies for better browsing and managing acces for users.
Therefore, If we could have a feature to collect them under “main library” called ie Movies, so I still can have them seperated. Wich would make it is easier for me to manage permissions.
Same argument for TV shows :wink:

The current lavel feature doesnt work for me since i have to walk through every singe movie and tv show to set a label for sharing permissions.
The argument that I could use the genre filter for filtering movies works great in theory, but the thing is, depending on MovieDB has Danish metadata or not, I end up having English and Danish genres. ie War/Krig, Comedy/Komedie, sci-fi/Science Fiction, Horror/Gyser etc wich both need to be filtered out

You can have a folder with movies in more than one library.

I have several libraries of films for comedy, action, and so on, the folder and movies in those folders are also included in a big “movies” folder.

I may not have understood your question, but I hope this helps.

sorry for the late reply.

I know I can have the folders added in different Plex Libraries, but then Plex sees them they as different movies.So when I fx watch the movie Sing from my animation library. Plex still mark Sing in my “main” Movie library as unseen.

After consideration, my request is more about views.
So if I have Animation/Horror/Comedy etc libraries and creating a Movies view with my chosen movie libraries as a single list or view.

Emby has the feature. But I prefer Plex
