Just a quick note on the inserted commercials on Web Shows…
I do use this for a very few shows (2 actually) but I do appreciate having it available but I find it VERY annoying to have the only ad you push into the feed is for Plex!
Seems kind of…
a waist of time to pitch your product to the people already using it!
a waist of resources not to get some monetization from someone else for Plex.
Just maybe no company finds value in placing an ad in that show.
Actually I am unconvinced that ads in streaming shows have much value for the company. People watch regular TV and watch the ads and actually use the ads to make buying choices but I have doubts that many people actually pay attention to ads inserted in streaming material and some feel any ad they see is actually a negative incentive to buying or consuming or using that product.
