I am just curious what is common practice for sorting movie titles where the title starts with a numerical value. Is the number used in the sort title or is the number spelled out?
101 Dalmations, or, One Hundred One Dalmations
28 Weeks Later, or, Twenty eight Weeks Later
Now to be clear, I am specifically referring to the SORT TITLE. Not the name of the file or folder that it resides in.
Plex will sort numerals before letters, so if you use â101 Dalmatians,â it will be at the top of the list. âOne Hundred One Dalmatiansâ will be in the Oâs.
I use that method so I can get certain titles to appear in more than one location in my library.
I also use the device of having the same movies in several collections named differently so that when I am browsing I will see the movies in logical places in my library. ex. the movies âWestworldâ and âFutureworldâ
I have those in three collections:
âWestworld/Futureworld collectionâ
âFutureworld/Westworld collectionâ
âDelos collectionâ
By doing that I can find those related movies no matter where I might expect them to be.
