Community Builds of Plex Media Player Embedded 2.x for Raspberry Pi 2/3[+] & NUC/x86_64

I have a soft spot for the Pi as well!

Don’t have anything specific to tell you about the future of embedded, unfortunately, other than to say it’s something we have discussed and there is internal interest.

So, uhm, how is this still a mediaplayer that doesn’t react to Vol UP / DOWN from a remote control? Just tried it on v2.50.0 on Pi3+ with Rii i25 remote (which works wonderfully on LibreElec + Kodi + Plex addon.

Welcome, @andycarver

Thanks for taking the time to reply; apologies for my late response.

I’ll take some solice from the fact there is still internal interest so thank you!

I can confirm the problem with the pixel phones (Pixel2). The remote control with other devices works (I-Pad, Sony Xperia) There seems to be a problem with the communication from pixel to RPI (remote control from pixel to I-Pad or so works fine).

Tested with versions 2.44.0.1014 , 2.52.1.1039 and 2.53.0.1046 on Raspberry PI3 B+

Surprisingly, RasPlex is STILL the best Plex Player around for RPIs. Unfortunately its development stopped 3 years ago, during the RPI 3 production.

Plex server is ROCK SOLID. But for the players I have access (native Samsung Smart TV and ROKU), all of them has serious problems.

I really don´t know what Plex developers are doing. I can´t understand why the development of the players side is so complicated.
