I know there are a ton of posts here about various issues with the wrong meta data being pulled for movies and recordings. I’ve read through a handful of posts and most of the suggestions don’t apply (they’re having a different DVR / Meta data related problem all together) so I figured I’d post this.
I’m recording the program CBS this morning from the local OTA. As you can see in the image, by leaving everything default the file/folder naming convention seems solid (CBS > named CBS). But then, when you see the show in the library it’s named after the show “The Nanny” with that show’s title art and everything. When you drill down into the recorded episodes it shows a thumbnail of the correct show but for all purpose… my DVR thinks I’m recording the Nanny at 7am in the morning.
When you look at the library view it appears they’re doubled up. From inspecting the information on each of these titles it would appear that the entries are doubling up for each file with one from The Nanny and another from CBS This Morning
