computer in sleep mode and dvr recording

when my pc is in sleep mode, it will not wake to record a tv show that was scheduled for recording. Any ideas of how to fix this? Also, I have Windows Media Center on the same PC as Plex, is this a problem? My PC is the server, and recordings are set to record to an external hard drive connected to the PC via USB. Sorry, can’t be done. The DVR device itself would have to wake your PC, but it doesn’t actually store your recording schedule so it has no idea that it need to wake your machine.

PMS cannot detect if WMC is also using the tuner, so it may try to make a recording and fail.

I use a program called WinOff. I set a windows scheduled task to wake up my server at 6pm and set WinOff to sleep at 1am. This covers most of my shows I want to record. WinOff can also detect network traffic, so if a show runs over, the server will keep alive and sleep later.

Plex could implement this. Wmc did it with a scheduled task I would really love to see this along with clients sending wol packets

NextPVR as well as WMC is able to set Windows wake timers to wake a computer for recording. Why not PLEX?
