Comskip running and logging verbosity

Server Version#: 1.41.0.8994 on Ubuntu

I’ve been running plex server for a long time but just recently noticed that comskip is now running for recorded shows even when Detect Commercials is DISABLED. It does not seem to actually detect or delete commercials but it is running every time a recording completes, regardless. So, 2 questions:

  1. Is there a way to actually stop comskip from running on a single show? I have only disabled it on a per show/recording basis not for the entire library. Because I do use comskip for a couple of other shows
  2. Is there a way to limit the logging verbosity? It’s crazy how much spew there is in my syslog for a successful run. I just need one line. (Yes, I’ll go check Comskip Support Forum - Index page if there’s not a simple answer to be had here.)
    thanks in advance.

So I followed the support instructions and set verbose=1 (down from default verbose=10) in /var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/DVR/comskip.ini And for last night’s recording of Law & Order for which I have Detect Commercials → DISABLED I still got all this output in my log.

I will try again tonight with verbose=0. What’s going on tho? DISABLED has no effect? And verbose=1 has the same logging output as verbose=10?
(next day, same logging output with verbose=0, uggh)
