When I launch PlexAMP I get a window that allows me to free type my player name and a message below that says “Connect the play” and a button that says “Retry.”
How am I supposed to login with this UI?

I was having the same issue. I was able to get a “Sign In” button after I switched off of my corporate network to an open one. I know that my work spoofs TLS certs to essentially man in the middle all the traffic coming in and out. So, my educated guess is that PlexAMP is hard coding the TLS certs that app.plex.tv uses and don’t source them from MacOS, where the enterprise certificate authority is stored on my Mac.
Can someone who knows the PlexAMP internals speak to this?
We aren’t using MitM certs (yet), but we have a simple, non-authenticated proxy. I see the same issue. How can we get PlaxAmp to work through a proxy?
I am being MITM by a corporate network. Hopefully a dev sees this and we can get some kind of proxy support.
We’re basically just doing the default Electron/node thing, which wouldn’t pull other certs; definitely some work there needed, of unknown difficulty…
I had the same issue fubz but all I needed to do was type “local” as the player, then it signed in and I could choose my other players from the app… it’s really nice.
Although it would be nicer if someone had said that up front
