Connecting UGreen running linuxserver/plex to plex.tv

I’m missing something basic. I’ve installed linuxserver/plex in a container on uGreens NAS. I’ve added the parameters stated in the help files, TZ, VERSION, PLEX_CLAIM and added a claim id as pulled from plex.tv.

When I go to plex.tv it doesn’t prompt me to connect as some videos show. Others talk about downloading and install a plex server from plex.tv… but I have a plex server installed.

What am I missing. How do I link my plex server to plex.tv? I’m missing some basic step.

It only selects bridge, host doesn’t show up in the drop down, I would like to fix that but don’t know why. I’m using a fixed IP.

After awhile, an item appears on the left hand size of plex.tv with a code (not my current claim code, but perhaps an earlier one.) but with the !, clicking brings up a page:
app.plex.tv is unable to connect to “d6c5eefd2755” securely”

More info: when entering 192.168.1.129:32400/web into firefox browser on the nas I get the message: “Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at 192.168.1.129:32400”

If I enter that in my windows system browser I get: “This site could not be reached. 192.168.1.129 refused to connect.”

I’ve checked my windows system firewalls, opened up the ports that the container uses.

Wow what an adventure. Even though the network configuration drop down only allows “bridge”, if you click on the tab “host” and confirm and it changes to host mode. Once in Host mode then all the issues went away. ip:32400 correctly took me to plex.tv for setup and registered the nas.
