Constant Issues Adding New Media - Please Help

I am having constant issues lately when adding new media to my server. Below are the log errors I am seeing every time. Usually I have to remove the file from the plex folders, change the name just a little bit so its seen as a new file and then readd it back to the folder. One thing that has been consistent for this issue every time is that the file is a mkv file. It does some of the files just fine and others it just wont. The video never ends up in plex so I dont even know that its skipping over it til i cross exam what files I have vs what files are showing up. I have tried everything I can to find a answer on the internet but nothing works. Used to never have any issues until recently though nothing has really changed other than my plex version that have been updated over time.

Is G:\ a network mounted drive/share? Looks like the scanner is failing iterate through the files (as if some references turned stale).

From what I’ve been reading, there’s some weird side-effects w/ automatic mounting of network shares in Windows if you’re using some different credentials. You could try to create a user on your NAS with the same name and pwd as your Windows account to verify if this issue still exists / causes those hiccups.

I log into the PC with a microsoft account. I am not sure how I can add that to the QNAP NAS. Dont think I can make the accounts match. They are two different platforms even so they wouldnt really talk to each other. I dont have a domain controller or anything setup for my home for something like that.

Its always been on a NAS why now would it start to have these issues?

Are you downloading directly to that drive? If so you should download someplace else then move the complete file to that drive. If the scanner runs into files that are not complete it may skip them.

Also I am on Mac but I have my QNAP mounted to it over SMB which has been pretty stable.

I also suggest at minimum renaming the individual movie folder to some thing matching naming standard

like instead of
G:\Movies\Antlers.2021.1080p.WEB-DL.DD5.1.H.264-EVO[TGx]\Antlers.2021.1080p.WEB-DL.DD5.1.H.264-EVO.mkv

make it
G:\Movies\Antlers (2021)\Antlers.2021.1080p.WEB-DL.DD5.1.H.264-EVO.mkv
