I use locally synced content most days, if I switch to my server to stream something at night most mornings when I open Plex up again and try to switch to my locally synced content for my travel to work I can’t choose it.
I need to force quit the app and start it again in order to be able to select local content.
Not that there is any hope in He** that it will get fixed just like the many other bugs that I have reported YEARS AGO.
Note: it is the Discover screen on the local iPad server that does not update. Even going from browse to discover does not do a update. You really need a pull to refresh to force a update.
They look very similar to another issue we’re investigating. Instead of force quitting the app, does it work again if you switch airplane mode on & off? That seemed to work for another user as a workaround until we figure out what’s going on.
I think I found a fix for this! If anyone is interested in testing it, please send me a Private Message with an email address where I can send you a special build
HI @sergiou87
I faced the issue and notified Plex through buddybuild.
I can’t get to reproduice it anymore (maybe because I changed of iPhone version) so I wonder if it is worth testing
If you don’t have this issue often now, I think it’s not worth it, but thank you!
Right now I’m actively speaking to another user that has this issue very very often, he’s been testing a few builds already and helping me out a lot As soon as he gives me the we’ll include the fix in the next beta.
Sorry @Anijake that’s a different bug, the one we’ve been discussing in a private message.
I’ll push the server team again to try and get that one fixed soon. If I have time, I’ll try to do the server side work myself, but I can’t promise that
Another beta and still have to force quit the app for the iPad local discover screen to update after a sync. I guess another bug that will go unfixed for years.
