I have unused Content Ratings in the Filter Content Ratings list that I want to delete. In earlier versions of the server they used to delete automatically if they were unused, but don’t any longer. Can anyone help?
they still do or should do…
in my experience you might need to reload the page when using Plex Web to achieve this – sometimes the web app still remembers what content-ratings (or other filter criteria) used to be available before your recent edits.
Thanks for your reply Tom, but this has been happening for a number of months since one of the updates and no mater what I try, the content ratings in the content ratings list on the web server retains ratings that are empty.
I used to be in the same situation when Plex pulled US ratings from TheTVDb.com instead the ones applicable for my locale and I only recently had to manually overwrite/correct those values.
This information is of little help for you… it appears not to be a general issue.
That being said… I’ll keep my eyes and ears open, but right now I have no idea what else might cause this for you. Maybe something got stuck during processing and gives you those wrong filter items?!
Thanks, I really appreciate your help and advice.
I cannot reproduce this, but I would try optimizing the database.
Thanks for your reply.
Tried to do all that. Here is a screen shot. The Approved, GP, Not Rated, PG-13, Passed, R, SOA, TV-14, TV-G, TV-MA, TV-PG, TV-Y7 and more are all empty and have been for a few weeks. I have cleaned bundles, empty trash, optimised database, restarted Plex server and re-started the computer, but the empty contents rating still stay there. They used to disappear as soon as they were empty, or at least when the server was re-started, but not in the last five or six updates of the server. Is there any way to manually remove them?
