When I have watched an episode and there isn’t any other episodes to follow, the episode i just watched remains in continue watching until I change libraries or restart the app.
Shows that have newer episodes to follow, again, don’t update to the next one, until I change libraries and come back or restart the app.
The episode updates on my Plex Server and on my other device, except for my Apple TV, since the update on Sept 16 2026
I have 3 AppleTV’s that have updated to this version and they all do the same, but my units that haven’t updated still reload the continue watching after a show has been played. This is a very frustrating user experience.

No, I have several shows on continue watching (5 plus shows or movies). Here are the steps to reproduce my issues.
Refresh correctly
launch app, pick user
go to Home screen → continue watching (5 plus shows and movies)
play show until finished
back out to the home screen’s continue watching.
continue watching refresh’s correctly.
Refresh incorrectly
launch app, pick user
go to sub screen (example TV) → continue watching (5 plus shows)
play show until finished
back out to TV’s continue watching.
continue watching does not refresh’s correctly.
back out to menu and select new submenu (example Movies)
let movies update
back out to menu and select previous submenu (TV)
let TV update
continue watching updates and remove the completed episodes from the list.
