I’m looking into setting up Plex on a Raspberry Pi 2, and possibly setting up Pi 2 monitorless audio players in the house to go with it - I just want to make sure I understand if what I’m trying to do can be done.
If I have a player (not the server) that is running without a monitor, am I able to use an app to control the player via a smartphone? I’m not looking to turn the smartphone into a player itself, I know that can be done - rather, I would want an RPi 2 connected to a set of speakers to be the player, and control it with the phone.

Welcome to the forums.
Yes, you can remote control Rasplex with either an iOS device or an Android device.
