I'd like to create a channel that acts as a remote for Logitech Media Server. One of the main things I'd like to do is display information about the current playlist from a chosen player/player group, using the Plex Now Playing Visualizer. The LMS part of this is pretty straight forward, but as I sat down to start working on this I realized that I don't know how I can utilize the visualizer if I'm not actually playing the media within Plex.
Is there anyway to use or control the visualizer in the way I'm describing? Essentially the visualizer would be getting it's data about current playback time, tracks in the playlist, etc. from LMS. I just don't know how I would pass that data if I'm not providing the type of media object that Plex is expecting.
