Correct Plexamp Visualizer When Remote Controlling Plexamp On Another Computer

Issue:
When I am working from home, I use Plexamp on my Laptop to control Plexamp on my HTPC which plays audio thru my hifi system. The Plexamp visualizer does not show the correct visualization and cannot be changed when I am “remotely controlling” in this way.

That’s actually by design, since the remotely controlling app doesn’t have access to the data used to produce the visualizers.

It should show a soundprint, if your music has been analyzed for loudness (example below):

@elan thank you for the explanation. loving Plexamp and how it integrates w the loudness/replaygain and cross fade options on the iOS app. Well done!!!

Any chance we can add a feature that allows visualizations on the remote controlling Plexamp?

Thanks for the kind words (and cute pup)!

Never say never, but the amount of data and need to synchronize it pretty closely makes it unlikely.
