Conversion failed. A required codec & Can't claim server

I keep getting Conversion failed. A required codec and Can’t claim server I’ve tried fresh install and delete registry that didn’t work either anyone know a fix for this? Here is logs Plex Media Scanner Analysis.1.log (11.2 KB)

With previous installs I have had a similar issue with the codecs.

I stopped PMS from the task bar.
opened explorer to “C:\Users\plex\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Codecs”
I created a backup folder in that directory.
Then moved all the codec files into that backup folder.
now the Codecs folder should have no files in it just the backup folder you created.

Startup PMS
PMS should download new codecs files as it needs them.
You will see the new codecs files in that folder as they get downloaded over time.

PMS installs don’t always remove the old codecs files.

Actually I don’t see any codecs at all to move anywhere all I see is these two files in codec folder .device-id & ba1b905-2538-windows-x86.

Your correct that folder has the codec files needed in it…
The folder has the version number of that codec.
My codec folder;

I moved the whole folder to the backup folder just in case.

I don’t see any of those folders…although I did try rebooting into my other windows on another harddrive and installed plex and everything worked fine on there…? :confused:
