Conversion failed. A required codec could not be found or failed to install

I’ve got the same error as mentioned in this post: Conversion Failed, A required codec could not be found or failed to install.

MP4 files are running fine only mkv give me the conversion failed error.
Is there any way to fix this problem?

Player Version 1.14.1.5488

After many tries i finaly got it running, unfortunately i can’t say what caused the problem, i think it was an issue with the windows update.
