This message is shown in device I try to run plex. This only happened after the newest update and I cant play anything anywhere except the plex app in the same computer as my plex server.

Please download logs, and upload here as a zip file, and NEVER EVER post your token online, since that’s the password to your PMS
That can be confusing, how Plex will download codecs it doesn’t have.
You would think they don’t take up much space and would come with the
installer, but that’s simplistic of me.
In any event, it sounds like a codec was needed, but it failed to download
and install correctly.
There are times where a user will be asked to stop PMS, find and delete
the problem codec file, and restart PMS allowing it to download again.
If you have network issues or something more basic, deleting things
won’t help.
So check out the article that explains how to grab us your log files.
That way we can identify more the cause.
EDIT: fixed the logic error about codec failing to install.
Hey I’m seeing SQLITE3 messages before it gets to wanting your codec.
Those are database related, the heart of Plex and it’s metadata.
I’m also seeing it fail to download the new codec. It could have just been busy.
Error 429 means the user has sent too many requests.

Let’s start with deciding whether you want to attempt to check it for errors and repair. We might
also try having it get your codecs again by letting it run, or deleting the directory again. After some thought, this is probably just a temporary problem that will fix itself.
