Conversion failed. The transcoder exited due to an error

As the title suggests this is the error that has suddenly cropped up today. I have also just upgraded to the below PMS version from …4.5271 to …5.5291

I should make you aware that this problem was happening in both the above-mentioned versions.

PC: Win 10 x64
PMS: 1.13.5.5291

I am trying to view the video on both this PC and a Sony Bravia TV in another room. Both fail with the error in the subject of this topic.

I would attach my logs for you to look through. However, I am a new user and can’t upload them.

I have rolled back my version to 1.13.0.5023 and it still fails.

I’m not sure if there is some sort of Windows Update that’s causing this or not, but it’s highly annoying, in the space of a day I’ve gone from being able to watch everything, to nothing.

Let me know how I can get my logs to you for you to look at.

Same issue for me. Unable to watch any media on Windows 7 PC with PMP, Xbox one, or android mobile app.

PMS version: 1.13.5.5291

All apps are running the latest version for the platform.

Everything seemed to be working normally just ~7-8 hours ago.

After having slept on the problem and ran through some ideas this morning, I found an update ready for windows that wasn’t showing (for some reason) last night.

Since installing that update, I’ve been able to watch one of the videos, I couldn’t previously, without issue.

I apologise for wasting anyone’s time, I should’ve checked that more thoroughly before posting.

Hello this is the first time i’m actually posting cause i’m getting this Conversion error a lot lately with different videos i have sometime I’d just wait it out and the video would work but i’m getting really tired of this error. I’ve waited patiently for solutions beside going back to older versions. and all of them kept pointing to “wait for an update” well i updated and I’m still getting this. i remember 4-5 months ago I never even saw this in the whole 2 years I’ve been using plex, not once. Now I’m having this issue left and right with different videos. And so here are my logs please fix because i love plex and what it does but this is frustrating that i cant even watch 1 min of a video with out this popping up.

I suggest creating your own topic, hijacking mine probably won’t get you any answers.
