I’m getting the “Conversion failed. The transcoder exited due to an error.” error, seemingly at random, when watching programmes on both my hosting PC, and on a Samsung TV on the same network, via Plex’s Samsung app. I find that trying/failing to play a different file, then going back to the one I was watching, seems to fix it. But this is obviously very irritating.
I have read multiple threads about this, and none of the solutions listed have worked. I’ve completely removed Malwarebyte from my machine, I’ve ensured I have all the latest updates installed, but have stopped short of wiping all my history because I really don’t want to lose years worth of viewing history data.
