Convert and Sync to another other PMS

In a variety of situations, it’d be really useful to extend the sync functionality to not only sync to clients, but also sync to other Plex Media Servers based on the clients you’d like it to support. Most specifically, when the target Plex server doesn’t have the ability to transcode (such as a low powered NAS or WD Passport).

Much of the benefit of running a Plex server is that you don’t have to think about what format your media is in. You simply play it and Plex does the correct thing. As we start to put Plex on more and more low powered devices, where transcoding is not an option, this benefit is diminished as you need to think about what devices will be playing the content and making sure everything is setup for the “lowest common denominator”.

Were it possible to sync content from a Plex Server capable of transcoding to any other Plex Server based on expected clients, effectively combining optimized versions with a PMS to PMS sync, this benefit would again be realized.
