There are some TV Shows where intro detection isn’t needed. An example is Mission Impossible (1960s) where each intro was distinct and often a helpful primer on how the show was going to unfold. Right now, the feature for intro detection is coarse - either on or off. When It is off, you can run analyze from the dot menu, but I’m looking for the opposite - leaving it on most of the time and excluding it from detecting and showing on smaller set of shows.
If the intros have distinct audio, the intro detection won’t detect anything.
OP wants to avoid wasting CPU on detecting something that won’t detect anything.
PMS will only try it once, after a major update of the intro detection algorithm.
Sure, and the OP wants to avoid that. Why so defensive? Just tell “No, it is currently not possible and it will never be implemented”.
