Skip Logo detection

TV shows in the Star Trek universe have their logo animation and “whoosh” in the beginning. These are always marked as the intro to be skipped, instead of the actual intro later in the show.

I suggest differentiating between these two types of intros, because I get that multiple intros in different locations wouldn’t make that much sense.

TV shows I noticed this behavior:

• Star Trek: Strange New Worlds
• Star Trek: Discovery

I’m sure Star Wars shows suffer from that as well as there is a logo animation right at the start as well.

Now these logo sequences could either be marked separately to be skipped, or a database would need to know about these logo sequences so the intro detection ignores these sections and keeps looking for the real intro

There’s already an existing suggestion discussing an option for Plex to attempt recognizing different intros, e.g. studio logos vs. the actual intro. Please comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes.
Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.

Intro detection improvement sugestion // mod: multiple intros (e.g. studio vs. show intro)

on the whole intro detection works great for me with one edge case, an increasing number of shows have 2 “intros”. The initial one (usually right away) usually something about the network and or studio and then later (2-5 min) the show intro. Would it be possible to add multiple intro detection ?
