fire tv app had that until the last update (to the redesigned plex app). windows phone app never had it before.
+1 for this. My x265/hevc files are now all transcoding on the fire tv since the latest update when they should all be able to direct play. Tried to look for this option to force it, but couldn’t!
Surely there should be feature parity across all clients?
