I run plex on ububtu and have recently noticed on the latest updates and after the issues with plex the other week I am seeing issues with plex updating my library
TV Series, I’m having to manually tell it to match to get the covers, etc
Movies not always updating and showing correctly
Collections keep being modified when a library update is performed, how do I stop it doing this after I’ve spent hours sorting the collections out.
I’ve checked all the settings and all look to be ok and running Version 1.19.1.2589
How many directories (in total) are being monitored automatically for all media which PMS monitors?
If this number is greater than 8192 (the linux default), the table size needs to be increased. It’s not difficult but something the owner/admin must do.
even if i manually tell plex to scan the tv series, it scans but doesn’t update the images, etc, i have to manually edit each title and tell it to match which it does perfectly, so not sure why this is not being done when you tell it to scan the particular folder.
As also mentioned the other issue is collections, how to do I stop plex modifying collections I’ve fixed and adding mutliple for the same film or a single collection entry for 1 movie, for me a single movie does not need to be in a collection. if its 2 or more from the movies franchise then fine.
Ideally an option in plex is needed to not modify existing collections and to not add single movies to their own collection
This looks like a relevant thread – I just started Plex on freenas…did a scan of entire music library – took hours ! … anyway - I am confused because there should be way more files/songs… than the reported 3128 at the top…
how can I tell the total # of music files in the library ? Should I re-scan ?? All the files are in a folder called music.main, which has maybe 40 directories beneath it …is there a limit to how far down a directory the scan goes ?
