Cover art in embedded ID3v2 tag

I have problem with embedded cover art. It does not happen in all my files, just some albums. I couldn’t find too many recent threads that fixed my issue. These are the main points:

  1. Embedded art does NOT show on PLEX. But it shows in Explorer, Kid3, and any other program/computer/device in the local network, just not in PLEX. The other tags work just fine.
  2. PLEX is setup for local only and embedded tags. Most albums work just fine.
  3. The cover art is embedded in the ID3v2 tag for both mp3 and m4a files.
  4. The cover art is either in JPG or PNG. Again, most of them work fine, just not all.

Rather manually fixing each one without knowing the issue, I’d rather fix it by embedding the correct info or image on the files.
