I recently updated PMP to the newest build and it has changed the way I can see Covers/Fanart.
They are now blurred into the background and can’t be read?
Is this just an option I am missing to restore the old way of clearly seeing them ?
On preplay pages, there is a button ‘Show Artwork’. (top-right)
Oh, it’s been that way since ~6 months. There is no way to change it.
PMP was only updated last week with a desktop version that supports this. Browsers have had this a while but PMP was slow getting the desktop updated.
I moved from the plex for windows about 6 months ago to plex media player so I could still use covers. It was working fine untill 4-5 days ago and the newest update.
Is this a bug? or is this how plex mean to show covers from now on ?
That’s how it’s gonna be. Until the ‘desktop’ mode is being removed from PMP altogether.
So there is now no way to view covers in plex ? really ?
Unfortunately yes.
Is there a way of stopping auto updates in PMP? So i can just continue to use the previous version.
AFAIR you can disable auto-updates in the settings of TV mode.
That worked great. Everything back to normal

Hi, not sure if this is the right thread but cant find this issue anywhere. Just updated my plex media server app on Nvidia Shield today and now anything that isn’t films i.e. documentaries, stand up etc. are showing screenshots in folder mode when they always showed the cover. There’s no settings to show the cover; all i have is folder or movies and both show exactly the same screenshot when choosing either. How do i show the covers instead of the screenshots? This is super annoying!
