I have been having an issue for some time, but it is infrequent at best but over the past week or 2 has become more frequent that when doing a library update plex consumes 100% of 1 CPU core and doesn’t progress with the library scan and gets stuck.
Below is a PRTG graph of my cpu’s and you can see where they ceiling out.
it only fails on TV Show library which is interesting. Never fails on Movies and always gets stuck on a series “Season 1” folder.
it only pegs 1Core of the cpu so the other 3 are still operational albeit at a higher load. So next time it happens i can grab my logs as per above if that helps while it is maxing out the cpu core.
done
this was already on never based on the storage location and qty.
I have added the dns rebind custom setting in and will let you know if i still have issues. I will let this sit until i have another cpu load issue and then try grab the logs as per above.
I have had my opnsense for 12+ months however and this issue has only started in the last ~6 months.
Thanks for that, yes it runs on my synology ds916+ which unfortunately the CPU isnt anything to write home about.
I have previously left this and it will run like this for days, so its not like its going to ever finish, it seems to just get stuck, but looks like there is nothing i can do if nothing is wrong with the setup unfortunately
haha yeah thanks hopefully my cpu fan is ok i havent cleaned it in a while so may do that as for UPS batteries - they seem healthy enough at the moment.
Only building more content so cant see the library getting smaller unfortunately
