CPU Usage During Transcoding = 100%

Hi All,

My Plex server is an OpenMediaVault 3.x (Debian) with PlexMediaServer installed manually (not via plugins) to the latest PlexPass version.
The CPU is a Kaby Lake I5 and I have 16Gbs of RAM.

This was not happening a month ago, but, now, whenever I transcode any movie (I don’t have any 4k content, only 1080p and some 720p) my CPU goes to 95-100% and stays there. The CPU temperature jumps from the (almost)idle 30(ish) degrees to 60 degrees. And the load goes well above 4 (sometimes 8 or 9)

On top of that, regardless of what I choose to transcode for, I’m only receiving 720p. And I know my internet connection on both ends is good enough for 1080p (at least 8Mpbs)

Here are my player settings:

And my transcoder settings:

And my Internet settings:

I don’t know what to look at next. Is it something on my end? Or is this something that the plex server is doing?

I’m afraid that if I let more people stream from my plex, the system will be too stressed…

Thank you All!
