I would like the ability to add TV shows to a new section by using the root directory of the TV show. i.e. If you wanted to create a NEW section and add just Game of Thrones, Luther & IT Crowd
It is not possible by just selecting the root directory d:\TV Shows\Luther because if there are two seasons under Luther when you add it this way it will not create what you expect which is an entry for Luther and the two seasons under it. It creates 2 entries one for season 1 and the other season 2 with no mention of Luther so you have to manually go in and fix the problem in Plex/Web.
Note: I have a section that contains all TV shows d:\TV Shows, I am trying to create a subset of the desired entries so I can share them and only them.
I was told that currently the only way to create a NEW section that contains a specific subset of your TV shows is to manipulate data on your hard drive. You have to create a new directory, lets say My Recommendations, and then under that directory you must either create symbolic links to the TV shows you want to share or actually copy them to the new directory. Once this is done then you can create a new section and add My Recommendations as the root directory.
I would like the TV show and Movies sections to work the same because you are able to pick and choose movies by there root directories and the correct setup shows up in PMS.
