Create plex server error's out

First time reaching out for help with plex support since being a lifetime pass user for over a decade.

I am getting this error when I create a new plex server in a VM. I get the initial “add server screen” and I click got it and then I get this error. “A problem has been detected with a core component of Plex Media Server.”

I play around with hardware ALOT and rebuild my VM’s all the time. I have tried accessing plex both through the local VM host and also the plex.tv account page with no success.

Right before this, I did revoke the servers i built up over the years and never deleted them. Some were years old but were still allowed access in my security settings. Could this have anything to not bieng able to create a new server?

Debian trixie VM
plexmediaserver_1.42.0.9975-6b2b441e1_amd64

Just to clarify one point. I can access the webui on both the VM host via 127.0.0.1:32400 and also via hostname or local lan ip address. The part I am missing is adding my personal/local library where it errors out.

Thanks for the logs.

Your network adapter is flipping out. It won’t stay stable long enough for PMS to get started.

WiFi ? Crazy DHCP server ? wired with loose / damaged connector or cable?

It acts like it keeps trying to take the interface down (to get a new IP) and not accomplishing it.

It’s going to be something simple when you find it.

That would make sense.

I may have made too many changes in the network too fast.

The network is all hardwired 10Gb but a mix of ubiquiti router and mikrotik switches.

Maybe a good flush of all caches and reboots in the right order? I’m gonna try. Thanks!
