I created some libraries because I wanted to split my TV shows in to animated and non animated shows, but I decided I didn’t like how it looked and deleted the new libraries. Now the new libraries I deleted still show when I’m sharing libraries with friends. Tried emptying library trash, but it’s been a week now and they are still showing for a friend I just added today.
I’m seeing the same thing. I just reinstalled my server and shared with a friend for the first time, and I’m seeing the deleted libraries I’d created years ago in the dialogue. I tried clearing browser cache, optimizing the Plex database, emptying the Plex trash… nothing seems to have any effect.
I am also seeing the same issue with the latest public release of plex server. I created a plex library on my server. It was running fairly slow in Windows Server 2012r2. So I decided to recreate it in a Windows 10 VM on that server. I used the same name as the previous plex server. I went into the new one to share my library and it is still showing the that I am sharing 3 libraries with my friends under sharing even though I have not enabled sharing on the new server.
There was no libraries showing up to be able to uncheck. I shared my two libraries from the new setup and it is now claiming I am sharing five libraries. The two actual libraries and the three ghost libraries.
Deleting the VM and doing a full new OS and Plex install did not clear up the issue. Any ideas how to fix this?
Did any of you guys find out how to fix that? I have the same problem here on my Plex server (Version 1.13.5.5291) running on my QNAP TVS-463.
I had a problem with my server and needed to re-install my Plex Server but now all my library are doubled in the shared library list…
Thanks
Nothing. I eventually got a new C: drive (just because I had the opportunity) and installed a new instance of Plex Server and copied over all my old libraries, which had it’s own problems, but after I removed the old server everything has been working for the most part correctly. Might just have to make a copy of all your libraries and uninstall Plex entirely, then reinstall and copy your backup of the libraries in.
Thanks for the reply! It’s gonna be hard to do cause all my libraries are on my QNAP that also host the PLEX server… It’s like if there was some cache files that hasn’t been deleted when I uninstall/install PLEX on my QNAP. I’ll wait for now, I have a project of switching my PLEX server on a new server with higher performance and use my QNAP as a DataStore.
Best Regards
