When I go to share my libraries with someone, I see duplicates of 3 of my libraries (Movies, Music and one other). If I share one of the duplicates, the user doesn’t see anything. If I share them both they do. When I go to my Libraries, Plex only lists a single instance of each. Is there a way to investigate and possibly remove the duplicate listings in the Sharing area?
Thank you Otto. When I go to Authorized Devices->Servers, I only see my one server. And when I go to my Libraries, I see the 4 Libraries I expect. But I still see extra ones when I go into sharing, See pictures.
I can see that you erased one server today from your account.
There might be some caching involved. I’d say wait a few hours´and then take another look.
Are you using the web app https://app.plex.tv to access the ‘sharing’ dialog or one of the other apps?
If the latter, compare with the web app, please.
Sorry for the slow reply. I’ve tried logging out and back in as well as clearing all my browsing data. The additional library references are still there.
Otto! Thanks for this! I’ve had a very similar issue and this solved my problem! My HDD with the PMS database died and I’ve been rebuilding my PMS and had some issues. Finally have a fresh, working database but when sharing there were references to old libraries I had previously shared but couldn’t figure out how to get them to go away. What I was seeing: I have ten current libraries but when looking at friends I share with it said I was sharing twenty libraries! But when editing what libraries I was sharing there were only ten to choose from. Clicking on your link (https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/devices/pms) brought me to extra/old servers that I removed and all is good now. You’re the MAN!
